Local-first processing
PDF, Word and image tools run in your browser using client-side libraries. Your files are not uploaded to our servers for conversion, editing, merging, compression or checking. When you import a file from a link, your browser downloads it directly from that site.
Accounts & sync
If you create an account, we store your email and authentication data via our auth provider. Conversion and editing still happen on your device. Files are only uploaded to your private account storage when you choose an action such as “Save to account” or “Save for later”. Optional AI tools (summary, chat, translate) send extracted text — not the file — to an AI model provider solely to generate your result, and say so before you start. We do not train models on your documents.
Analytics
Optional Google Analytics helps us understand aggregate traffic and which tools people use. The analytics script loads only after you accept analytics cookies in our banner (or on the Cookie Policy page). Choosing Essential only keeps local tools fully usable without analytics cookies. Analytics events record which tool was used and whether a step succeeded, with coarse size bands. They never include document contents, file names, passwords, imported links or extracted text, and page views are sent without query strings.
Connectivity
This is a web app with an optional light shell cache (service worker) so the site chrome can load after a prior visit. It is not a guarantee that every tool works offline. You still need a network connection for the first load, accounts, AI features, and importing from links. Local PDF/image processing stays on your device once the tool code is loaded.
