Formats, limits and privacy
- Input: Word .docx (one or many). Output: PDF; several files download as a zip. Legacy .doc is not supported.
- Up to 200 MB per file. The file is processed in your browser and isn't uploaded to WordToPDFHub.
Good to know
- Standard PDF fonts (Helvetica, Times, Courier) replace your document's fonts, so letter shapes can differ slightly. The result lists replaced fonts.
- Text boxes, floating shapes and unusual templates can shift. Check the preview before sending.
- Characters the standard fonts can't encode (e.g. Cyrillic, Hindi, icon fonts) are only kept as images if you agree first — those words won't be selectable.
- Exact look mode turns pages into pictures: text can't be selected or searched, and files are larger.
Questions
- Do I need an account to convert Word to PDF?
- No. Conversion and download work without signing up, and there's no watermark.
- Is my CV uploaded?
- No. The document is converted in your browser and stays on your device.
- Will the text in my PDF be selectable?
- Yes in the default mode. The result tells you if any words had to be kept as images, and it never switches to image pages without asking.
- Can I convert .doc files?
- Not yet. Open the file in Word or Google Docs, save it as .docx, then convert it here.
- Why does my PDF look slightly different from Word?
- Usually because of font substitution or floating layout elements. If exact fonts matter, use Save As → PDF in Word, which embeds your fonts.
